hey there!
I have been a nanny, doula, and CLC since 2016 with a passion for helping new mothers succeed, in whatever way "success" means to them.
In 2021 I began trying to have my own baby, I had several losses but am finally expecting my first thanks to IVF in November 2023.

I also lost my mother in 2022, and saw first-hand how important having a supportive community was. My Boston doula community came together to help me with cope with a tragic loss. So, the first thing I did when finding out I was pregnant was surround myself with women in the perinatal field.

I have recently moved to Cape Cod and am excited to build a community here. If you are also looking for support please join me on my weekly walks (Wednesdays at 10am on the Beech Forest Trail in Provincetown, brought to us by HELPING OUR WOMEN.org

One of the doulas here on the Cape said to me "we'll find you a community." and I said, "I'm just going to build it" So, I hope I can support you and we can build a fabulous community.
Benefits of Breastfeeding
In Case You Were Needed a Reason to Try
-
Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for most babies.
As the baby grows, the mother’s breast milk will change to meet her baby’s nutritional needs. -
Breastfeeding can help protect babies against some short- and long-term illnesses and diseases.
-
Breastfed babies have a lower risk of asthma, obesity, type 1 diabetes, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Breastfed babies are also less likely to have ear infections and stomach bugs.
-
Breast milk shares antibodies from the mother with her baby. These antibodies help babies develop a strong immune system and protect them from illnesses.
-
Mothers can breastfeed anytime and anywhere.
Mothers can feed their babies on the go without worrying about having to mix formula or prepare bottles. When traveling, breastfeeding can also provide a source of comfort for babies whose normal routine is disrupted. -
Breastfeeding can reduce the mother’s risk of breast and ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Breastfeeding has health benefits for the mother too! Some cancers, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure are less common among women who breastfeed.
My goals are simple.
Hands-Off Support

Despite offing in-home support Jenna practices a support model where she will not touch you unless you give consent. Too often, nurses at the hospital will grab a breast and shove baby on to it, this is just unacceptable.

Talk to Jenna prenatally about how to get the best support in the hours after baby is born to start your journey off right!

Lactation Counseling involves a lot of counseling. Jenna wants you to feel comfortable sharing with her. And if you need someone to hold your baby, Jenna is happy to be hands-on about that!
